Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Bahasa Indonesia dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw

Abstract


Abstract: This classroom action research aims to know the improvement of X-4 grade
studentsâ?? achievement of SMA N 1 Trenggalek in learning Bahasa Indonesia by applying
jigsaw as one of cooperative learning approaches. In implementing the action, the design is
done in three cycles and each cycle consists of four steps. They are (1) planning the action, (2)
implementing the action, (3) observing, (4) reflecting and evaluating to gain the description
the expected result and revising to implement the action in next cycle. Data collection
technique used is obsevation and test. From the result of implementing the action in three
cycles and based on the discussion and the analysis done, it can be concluded that: (1) jigsaw
as one of cooperative learning approaches gives positive effect to improve the X-4 grade
studentsâ?? achievement of SMAN 1 Trenggalek in learning Bahasa Indonesia by increasing the
studentsâ?? criteria of success in each cycle; cycle 1 (33.33%), cycle II (62.92%) and cycle III
(81.30%), (2) implementing jigsaw as one of cooperative learning approaches in learning
Bahasa Indonesia is effective to improve the studentsâ?? learning activity and their achievement.
