PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF MODEL JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPA

Abstract


This study is based on the problem '' Can the implementation of cooperative learning using Jigsaw model improve studentsâ?? achievement of class VII B SMP Negeri 3 Karangan second semester of academic year 2013/2014. The research is aimed to improve studentsâ?? achievement of class VII B SMP Negeri 3 Karangan second semester of academic year 2013/2014 by applying cooperative learning using Jigsaw. This study is action research with three cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: design, activities and observation, reflection and revision. The targets of this research were students of class VII B SMP Negeri 3 Karangan even semester of academic year 2013/2014. From the results, the average studentsâ?? achievement improved from the first cycle to the third cycle, the first cycle (67.32), the second cycle (76.79), the third cycle (78.04). While the level of mastery learning students in science subjects also increased, the first cycle (50%), the second cycle (78.6%), the third cycle (85.7%). The conclusions of this study is the Jigsaw model of cooperative learning gives positive influence of studentsâ?? achievement of class VII B.
