Abstract


The problem of the study is how to increase achievement and reduce
misconceptions of Static Fluid through Problem Based Learning Instruction for Students of
SMAN 2 Karangan Class XI IPA 2 academic year 2012/2013? The purposes of this
research are to increase the Static Fluid learning outcomes in Physics through Problem
Based Learning Instruction and reduce misconceptions Static Fluid in Physics through
Problem Based learning Instruction for students of SMAN 2 Karangan class XI IPA 2.
Based on data of the research, the Problem Based Instruction learning has a positive impact
in improving student achievement marked by an increase in mastery learning students in
each cycle, the first cycle 65.38%, the second cycle 76.92%. The application of Problem
Based Instruction methods has a positive effect, which can increase students' motivation
and reduce misconceptions about Static Fluid material. The conclusions from this research
is the Problem Based Learning Instruction model can be a positive influence on studentsâ??
achievement to learn and reduce misconceptions about the Static Fluid material and this
learning model can be used to improve the process and learning outcomes.
