UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR HITUNG PECAHAN DENGAN PENDEKATAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN JIGSAW

Abstract


The problems of the research are: (1) How is the effect of Jigsaw model in
mathematic learning of fraction material? (2) Can the implementation of Jigsaw model in
learning mathematics of fraction material improve the studentsâ?? achievement? The
objectives of the research are: (1) to know the effect of Jigsaw model in learning to
mathemathics achievement of fraction material, (2) to know that the implementation of
Jigsaw model can improve the studentsâ?? achievement in fraction material.The research uses
action research in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages. They are planning,
implementing and observing, reflecting and revising. The subjects of the study are sixth
grade students of SDN 1 Bogoran, Kampak, Trenggalek. It consists of 25 students. The
data is obtained from the result of formatif test and observation sheet during the teaching
and learning activity. The result of analysis shows that the studentsâ?? achievement improves
from cycle 1 to cycle 2. On cycle 1, the mean score was 6.4, and on cycle 2 was 7.0. So it
can be concluded that Jigsaw model as one of Contextual Teaching and Learning
component is good to be used in learning process and can be applied for all subjects, not
only for mathematics.
