Abstract


Local language is the language used in addition to the national language as the
language of intra-regional communication. Regional languages used by the local
community as a language of daily communication including Java tribe that has its own
language. In general, the Indonesian people master more than one language. It is caused
by a number of regional languages that still alive in the sense used actively in society.
Those languages are Javanese, Sundanese, Madurese, Minang, Sasak, Bugis and so on.
Interference is a lexical errors or irregularities at the level of language or vocabulary
words found in Indonesian. This reseach is aimed to know the lexical interference of
Javenese to Indonesian in an inspirative novel â??Jokowi Si Tukang Kayuâ? by Gatotkoco
Suroso.
