Abstract


The purpose of this research is to know the utilization of the surrounding environment in improving the ability to write poetry in class V. This research can be categorized as a classroom action research. The research design uses Kemmis and Tanggart which consists of implementation planning, and reflection. The subject of the research is the grade V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bahrul Ulum Gresik. Technique of collecting observation and test data. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, describe and make conclusions. This study was conducted because of the lack of interest of children to write poetry, difficulty in finding ideas, and proved its value under the KKM. By utilizing the learning resources in the form of the environment, the results showed that in cycle I the classical completeness of writing skills reached 64.58% in cycle II increased to 87.5%. Can be concluded that the source of learning in the form of the environment proved to improve the ability to write poetry in grade V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bahrul Ulum Gresik
