PERAN GERAKAN LITERASI SEKOLAH DALAM PEMBELAJARAN KREATIF-PRODUKTIF DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Educational Practices will need to make the school as a learning orga-nization so that all its citizens grow as lifelong learners. To support it, the Ministry of education and culture developed Gerakan Literasi Sekolah in Elemantary School (GLS). GLS aims to foster a culture of reading, writing, listening, speaking (literacy), and sorting out the information on the citizens of the school, good principals, students, and teachers who led to the ability of information in analytical, critical, and re-flective. These skills are indispensable in creating creative-productive learning. Re-sults of the study and the empirical guarantees shows that literacy has a sig-nificant role in the creative-productive learning. These roles include (1) the literacy movement in elementary school were able to cultivate critical thinking ability which is indispensable in the implementation of creative productive learning, (2) literacy abilities needed in exploration activities on learning creative productive i.e. by way of reading, writing, sorting out information to solve problems and find a new concept, (3) the ability of literacy will empower students to conduct exploration, observation, interviews, doing experiment , and wise in sorting out the information from various sources so as to increase the effectiveness of the application of the creative-productive learning in elementary school.
